Members of the Larry H . Miller organization gathered at Megaplex Theatres for a special event to learn about foster care in Utah and the different ways our employees can support the foster care community .
Attendees of the event watched a video message from Utah ’ s First Lady Abby Cox and learned more about Utah ’ s goal of ensuring each child in foster care has a loving , welcoming home and supporting foster families and those in foster care . The Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation is a pillar sponsor of Abby Cox ’ s ShowUp ! for Foster Care initiative .
Blake Anderson and JP Tarbutton , two Larry H . Miller Company employees , shared their experiences fostering and adopting children and how that experience positively impacted their lives and families .

The event concluded with a movie highlighting the challenges , joys and triumphs a family can face when welcoming a child into their home . becoming a bat boy . Gene is 75 years old and has been a bat boy for the Bees for the last three seasons .
Gene , who loved coming to games from the time he was little , said he would look down at the bat boys and thought he could do that someday .
The team has many nicknames for Gene , ranging from “ Bat Man ” and “ Bat Gentleman .” Gene prefers the nickname “ Doug ” because of all the time he spends in the dugout . planted . Congratulations to Breann and the positive impact she has had on our organization .
