Megaplex Theatres took the back-to-school theme to a whole new level as thousands of movie fans returned to a magical movie memory with a Harry Potter festival . Dressed in their finest Gryffindor , Hufflepuff , or other house robes , thousands of Harry Potter fans celebrated a Back to Hogwarts movie marathon and month-long festival across multiple Megaplex Theatres locations . The studio re-released the films to select theatres across North America . Amazingly , Megaplex Theatres accounted for more than 25 % of all Harry Potter movie ticket sales from Canada to Mexico for the opening weekend .
Five Megaplex locations hosted the 24 + hour Harry Potter marathon featuring all eight of the original films to kick off the celebration . Fans were greeted by costumed characters and themed décor resulting in a flood of social media photos and comments praising the magic of Megaplex .
The Back to Hogwarts festival is the most successful example so far of the Megaplex $ 5 Reel Deal program that ’ s designed to draw moviegoers to the theatres with classic titles during a lull in Hollywood blockbuster scheduling .

July 16 – Swig was announced as one of 12 new food and drink spots coming to the Salt Lake City International Airport . Swig in Terminal B is expected to open in fall of 2024 or early 2025 .
