As part of the efforts to address the growing need for affordable housing in Salt Lake City , the Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation partnered with Switchpoint Community Resource Center to support Phase 2 of the Fairpark Affordable Housing project . This project , located in the heart of Salt Lake City ’ s Westside , aims to provide housing and services for some of the community ’ s most vulnerable populations .
The Miller Family Foundation ’ s $ 1 million contribution is part of a larger funding package that also includes support from the Olene Walker Housing Loan Fund and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . Together , this funding will help construct 55 deeply affordable housing units , expanding access to stable housing for those in need as well as wraparound services , including access to job placement assistance , mental health resources , and financial literacy programs .
