LHM CHARITIES

SEPT-OCT 2016 UPDATE
Larry H. Miller( LHM) Charities helps the communities where Miller companies are based by contributing to qualified nonprofit charities that benefit women and children in the areas of health and education.
In Arizona, a donation to Friends of Saguaro National Park( Tucson) is supporting youth education programs, and a contribution to Habitat for Humanity Tucson is providing housing for a lowincome mother. A grant to Rider’ s Ranch will enable at-risk Phoenix youth to participate in life-skills classes. Support Our Troops— Arizona received assistance as well.
In Colorado, a contribution to Disco Dogs( Denver) is providing service dogs to children with autism spectrum disorders.

A donation to Hope House of Colorado( Denver) went toward a GED program for pregnant teens. Funding for Second Wind Fund of Boulder County is aiding youth at risk of suicide.
In Washington, South by NW Young Life( Spokane) received a grant for summer camp scholarships. A donation to GraceSon Housing Foundation( Spokane) is benefiting a residential program for pregnant teens.
In Utah, funding given to United Way of Eastern Utah is providing shoes for students in Price and Emery Counties, while a contribution to the University of Utah Bennion Center is helping at-risk sixthgraders in the Salt Lake area experience a day at college. SPLORE received a grant that will enable disabled children and their families to participate in outdoor recreation experiences. Donations were also given to Westminster College, NAMI Utah, University of Utah Neighborhood Partners and Granger High School.
The holidays will be happier for underprivileged families in Utah as Sub for Santa grants from LHM Charities are distributed by Kony Coins for Kids( Washington County) and the following school districts: Logan, Ogden, Davis, Salt Lake, Granite, Tooele, Alpine, Provo, and Iron County. A contribution to Firemen & Friends for Kids and the Bear Hugs for Kids program will enable low-income children in Utah to go Christmas shopping with the Jazz Bear and other volunteers.
