August 16, 2013 – The Utah Jazz promoted David Fredman to
director of pro player personnel, Richard Smith to executive
director of basketball operations. Bart Taylor was hired as
coordinator of scouting and Issaiah Wright as assistant
strength and conditioning coach.
August 16, 2013 – KJZZ 14 and the Utah High School Athletic
Association agree to a five-year broadcast deal for prep
football playoffs and state championships as well as
basketball championships.
August 17, 2013 – A permanent motocross course is built at
Miller Motorsports Park which hosts the Lucas Oil Pro
Motocross Championships, the first professional outdoor
motocross event to be held in Utah since 1973, attracting
the largest single day crowd in MMP history with 17,000
spectators.
August 17, 2013 – All-Star Catering serves a single day
record of 34,000 customers at a variety of venues.
August 20, 2013 – The Utah Jazz named Justin Zanik as the
team’s assistant general manager.
August 21, 2013 – National Basketball Association (NBA) and
the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced
that Utah Jazz head coach Tyrone Corbin will participate in
the 2013 Basketball without Borders (BWB) camp in South
Africa.
August 22, 2013 – Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Peoria (LMD)
moved in to its new remodeled building on 8665 West Bell
Road in Peoria, Arizona and Larry H. Miller Toyota Peoria
(PNX) moved in to its new remodeled building on 8425 West
Bell Road in Peoria, Arizona.
August 26, 2013 – Larry H. Miller Used Car Supermarket
Murray (UCM) moves to its new location at 5701 South State
Street in Murray, Utah.
August 26, 2013 – Salt Lake Bees announced that first
baseman Efren Navarro was named to the 2013 All-PCL
Team.
September 02, 2013 – The Salt Lake Bees record their highest
total season attendance since 1998 with 531,221 spectators.
September 2, 2013 – The Salt Lake Bees finished the 2013
season with a 78-66 regular season record, the Pacific
Northern Division crown and the Pacific Conference title.
The Bees advanced to the PCL Finals for the fourth time in
franchise history and the first time since 2002.
September 3, 2013 – Larry H. Miller Lexus Spokane used
car operations moved into its new location at 1030 W 3rd
Avenue in Spokane, Washington
September 18, 2013 – Greg Miller named Steve Starks to the
role of president of Miller Retail Properties. Starks will oversee
the success of ProStop, Megaplex Theatres, and Fanzz, while
continuing his role as executive vice president for Miller
Management Corporation.
October 2, 2013 – Larry H. Miller FIAT Avondale (AFI)
moved in to its new building at 10601 W. Papago Freeway in
Avondale, Arizona.
October 7, 2013 – The Utah Jazz announced America First
Credit Union as the new presenting sponsor of the Jazz
dancers, the franchise’s professional dance team.
October 15, 2013 – The Utah Sports Hall of Fame Foundation
honored Jim McMahon, Ron McBride, Billy Casper, Michelle
Fellows Lewis and Marv Fleming during the annual induction
dinner and ceremony at the EnergySolutions Arena.
October 25, 2013 - Aaron Dalton was promoted to Chief
Financial Officer of Prestige Financial Services, Inc.
