CREATIVE TEAMS EARN ADVERTISING AWARDS

UTAH JAZZ AND SAXTON HORNE COMMUNICATIONS WIN GOLD AND SILVER AT ANNUAL EVENT
The Utah Jazz marketing department / Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment creative services team, as well as the creative team at Saxton Horne Communications, received ADDY Awards from the Utah chapter of the American Advertising Federation at the organization’ s annual awards presentation on March 19, 2016, in Salt Lake City.

The 48-page Utah Jazz Season Highlights book received a Silver ADDY Award in publication design. Recipients of the award on behalf of the Jazz were Ben Barnes, creative direction / art direction; Brandon Finch, design; Matt Payne, copy; and Brent Asay and NBA Entertainment, photography.
Saxton Horne Communications captured both a Gold ADDY Award in Logo Design and a Silver ADDY Award for a direct mail piece entitled,“ Flip It: Grabbing and Holding your Audience’ s Attention.” The logo and mailer were cleverly designed to be read either upside down or right side up. Under the leadership of Creative Director Brian McDonough, the winning teams featured Don Taylor, design / art direction, copy writing; and Yvonne Zhou, design.
The American Advertising Awards program is the advertising industry’ s largest and most representative creative competition, recognizing creative excellence in the art of advertising. More than 40,000 total entries are entered and judged annually. WS

THE LEGACY OF LARRY H. AND GAIL MILLER

Larry H. and Gail Miller were honored by the Utah CCIM chapter as its 2016 Hall of Fame recipients at its annual awards banquet on March 19, 2016. The organization of commercial real estate professionals recognized the Millers for their dramatic and valuable impact on the Utah commercial real estate market and economy and a lifetime of service to the community.
The evening included an overview of Miller Family Real Estate, from its formation to the multiple projects the company manages. MFRE and the LHM Group were featured in the commemorative awards book and video. The Group was recognized for the jobs it provides as well as the diverse ways the company and its employees enrich lives throughout the state.
The gathering also spotlighted the philanthropic efforts of the Group and its vision of doing good.“ We are so fortunate to have the Miller family in our industry, to recognize their accomplishments and for the legacy the Miller family has created of entrepreneurship and giving back to the community,” said Ronda Landa of First American Title, who served as the Excellence Awards Chair.
