March 31, 2016- The Utah Jazz hosted the 10th annual Junior Jazz Sportsmanship Party, which is designed to honor and reward teams that best exemplify sportsmanlike conduct throughout the season.
April 5, 2016- The Utah Jazz announced that the Wheelin’ Jazz would compete in the 2016 National Wheelchair Basketball Association’ s National Tournament April 7-10 in Louisville, Kentucky.
April 5, 2016- Bart Sharp has been appointed general manager of the Salt Lake City Stars. He was formerly vice president of marketing services for LHMSE and originally joined the LHM Group of Companies in 2010 as an account director for Saxton Horne Communications. Utah Jazz assistant general manager Justin Zanik will continue to coordinate all basketball operations decisions for the SLC Stars, as he did for the Idaho Stampede.
April 6, 2016- Former Utah Jazz Head Coach Jerry Sloan announced he has Parkinson’ s disease and Lewy body dementia. The Utah Jazz issued a public statement extending the team’ s love, support and good wishes.
April 7, 2016- For the second year, the Utah Jazz and TeamSmile partnered together to provide 300 underprivileged youth with complimentary dental care at an event held at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
April 12, 2016- All-Star Catering announced the promotion of Dave Dalton to vice president of catering.
April 21, 2016- Representatives from LHM Lexus Murray and LHM Lexus Lindon delivered $ 40,000 in donations to the Children’ s Service Society of Utah, Christmas Box House, Volunteers of America Homeless Youth Resource Center and The Sandy Club. Each organization received $ 10,000, with half provided by LHM Charities and half by the Lexus Pursuit of Potential program.
April 20, 2016- LHM Sports & Entertainment announced the promotion of Darren Squires to president of Fanzz. Squires joined the LHM Group in 2014 as vice president of planning and distribution. Since spring of 2015 he has been serving as general manager of Fanzz.
April 20, 2016- Greg Miller announced the acquisition of his first dealership with the purchase of Bob Baker Toyota in San Diego, California. The dealership has been renamed Greg Miller Toyota and will operate under Greg’ s new enterprise, Greg Miller Automotive San Diego, which is independent of the LHM Group of Companies. Miller will continue to be actively involved on the LHM Group board of directors and in serving as the Utah Jazz representative on the NBA Board of Governors.
April 25, 2016- USA Basketball announced that Utah Jazz guard / forward Gordon Hayward will participate in the 2016 USA Basketball Showcase which features the USA Basketball Men’ s National Team. The team will play in five domestic exhibition games and conduct training camps in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Chicago and Houston.
May 4, 2016- Jim Olson has been promoted to president of Vivint Smart Home Arena to oversee all functions related to ticketing, food services, facility operations and event booking for the region’ s premier sports, concert and show venue and the home of the Utah Jazz.
May 5, 2016- A Captain America Marathon played exclusively in Utah at the Megaplex Theatres at The District in South Jordan. The marathon ran more than 12 hours and featured the following films:“ Captain America: The First Avenger,”“ The Avengers,”“ Captain America: The Winter Soldier,”“ The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” and“ Captain America: Civil War.”
May 6, 2016- The Utah Jazz announced a long-term contract extension for third-year head coach Quin Snyder.
May 7, 2016- The Salt Lake Bees raised $ 26,200 for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation( HCF) at the team’ s 10th annual Pack the Park Pink Night at Smith’ s Ballpark.
May 11, 2016- David Blain, president of Saxton Horne Communications, received an industry lifetime achievement award. Blain is being honored with the Silver Medal Award from the Utah chapter of the American Advertising Federation
May 19, 2016- Jay Francis was selected as one of four honorees as a Father of the Year by the Utah Father’ s Day Council benefiting the American Diabetes Foundation.

The scholarship application deadline for the 2016 FALL SEMESTER is July 1, 2016. All students must re-apply. The approval board will meet in July and acceptance / denial letters will be mailed after that meeting. Please have your student apply on-line at http:// scholarship. lhm. com / login. php
If your student is REAPPLYING( they’ ve received funding in the past), current transcripts must be received by July 1, 2016. Do not request transcripts until spring grades have posted. You will have to resubmit if they are not complete. Fees are not reimbursed for requesting transcripts. Students must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA in order to be accepted. High school transcripts are not required.
