February 14, 2014 - The NBA announced that Utah Jazz guard
Trey Burke had been selected to the 2014 BBVA Compass
Rising Stars Challenge to be played during NBA All-Star 2014.
KJZZ Television, owned
and operated by the
Larry H. Miller Group of
Companies, celebrated
its 25th anniversary on
Feb. 14, 2014, marking its
broadcast debut in 1989 as
an independent, full-power
television station. A “25 Years” icon will be featured
as an on-screen watermark during programming.
“KJZZ continues to provide unique programming
to our viewers with an entertaining mix of current
and classic network programming, the best first-run
syndicated shows and local high school sports,” said
Jeremy Castro, general manager of KJZZ and vice
president of broadcasting for Miller Sports Properties.
“We are proud of our legacy as a full-service
independent television station and appreciate the
support of our audiences over the past 25 years.”
The LHM Group purchased the station in 1993,
changing the call letters from KXIV (14) to KJZZ to
reflect the company’s ownership of the Utah Jazz and
as the broadcast partner for Jazz games (1993-2009).
