The Utah chapter of the American Advertising Federation honored three Saxton Horne staffers with “Rockies” awards. The Utah Jazz presented the 2014 Larry H. Miller Youth Scholarship to University of Utah student Derek Newell during the NAACP Salt Lake Branch’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Luncheon on Jan. 20, 2014. Longtime Jazz radio broadcaster/analyst Ron Boone presented the $3,000 award to Newell on behalf of the Jazz organization, and Jazz Head Coach Tyrone Corbin and assistant coaches Sidney Lowe and Michael Sanders were also in attendance.
