Every year, leaders throughout the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies join together with various sponsors to participate in the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Golf Classic. While the competition can be fierce, the event itself is a good-natured way to raise money for Larry H. Miller Charities.

This year, the event took place at the Hidden Valley Golf Club in Sandy, Utah, on Monday, June 12. A Sunday night dinner kicked off the week, and 200 golfers picked up their clubs and headed out on the course the next day to show off their golfing abilities.

Thanks to a strong network of 54 sponsor organizations, the 2017 Golf Classic was able to raise an astonishing $ 350,000, which will go a long way toward enriching lives in many communities.

“ This is one of our largest fundraisers of the year for Larry H. Miller Charities. We hope the funds raised from this tournament will help enrich the lives of individuals in each of the seven states where Larry H. Miller Dealerships conducts business,” said Jay Francis, president of Larry H. Miller Charities.

Although their day of golf was over, leaders and dealership general managers still had more work ahead of them as they participated in the annual MAO Leadership Conference and Training on June 13 and 14.

Speakers included Dean Fitzpatrick and other leaders from LHM Dealerships, including Clark Whitworth, CEO of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. Topics focused on milestones from the previous year and what leadership can do to prepare for the future. ◆
