It will serve in areas where people may not have ready access to health care and where incidences of type 2 diabetes are high. A similar program in Boston has been making a difference in low-income communities for more than 25 years and served as the inspiration for the new Utah program. The Wellness Bus was made possible thanks to a generous donation from the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation. Diabetes has long been a cause close to Gail Miller’s heart, as her late husband, Larry H. Miller, died due to complications from the disease. “Our family knows firsthand the effects of diabetes, and we are committed to help educate and save others from this devastating disease,” said Miller. ◆ “Our family knows firsthand the effects of diabetes, and we are committed to help educate and save others from this devastating disease.” Gail Miller LHMWSM.com 9
