The drive supports the Boise Rescue Mission, which provides shelter to more than 400 homeless families and individuals each night. Their goal is to restore dignity, a sense of purpose, and hope to those struggling with homelessness. “As the temperature cools and the snow starts to fall, there is a critical need for those who are vulnerable in the community to stay warm,” said Rev. Bill Roscoe. “Coats are a major need during the winter season as many of our homeless guests do not have adequate winter clothing.” The coat drive began on November 20th and ran through December 7th , and more than 300 coats were collected.. As a result of these efforts, many of those in need were able to stay warm and to have a brighter holiday season than they might have otherwise. ◆ “As the temperature cools and the snow starts to fall, there is a critical need for those who are vulnerable in the community to stay warm.” Reverend Bill Roscoe Boise Rescue Mission LHMWSM.com 9
