TAKES THE SHOW ON THE ROAD
Annual charity ride covers
new ground and raises over
$120,000 for LHM Charities
and Make-A-Wish Utah
Cyclists from across the Wasatch Front
claimed their “hero status” as they took
part in the fourth annual Million Miles at
Miller charity ride on Saturday, September
13, 2014, raising more than $120,000.
This year’s event moved from its previous
route at Miller Motorsports Park to the
Megaplex Theatres at The District in
South Jordan, and included a vendor
fair, kids zone and a free family movie.
The fountain at the Megaplex was also
transformed into a wishing well, with all
monies collected going to Make-A-Wish.
More than 300 cyclists (a record number)
participated, including 31 LHM employees.
Ride options included 15-, 25-, 55- and
100-mile routes, all starting and ending at
the Megaplex Theatres at The District.
Mountain America Credit Union, the
event’s presenting sponsor, provided
several rest stop locations as well as
volunteer support. The charity ride also
had more than 85 course volunteers
provided by Make-A-Wish Utah. WS

CruiserFest ® invaded

September 5-7, 2014. The
event is a gathering of offroad
enthusiasts with a love
for Toyota Land Cruisers
and 4x4s.
Land Cruisers rule at
Miller Motorsports Park
Cruisers caravaned to
the event from Arizona,
Colorado, Idaho and Moab,
Utah and camped at MMP. More than 100 Toyota aficionados gathered to participate
in museum tours, a Land Cruiser themed art show, off-road skills competitions, trail
rides, as well a host of seminars and clinics.
CruiserFest also marked the return of four of the five vehicles used throughout the
seven continent Expeditions 7, led by Greg Miller. The 218-day (over three years),
58,196-mile journey covered the world’s most fascinating cultures, as well as beautiful
and challenging landscapes. The vehicles arrived on September 5th, and will be on
permanent display at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum, joining one of the most
complete and rare collections of Land Cruisers in the world. WS
