CELEBRATING A MEMORABLE MILESTONE
Group sells its 1,500,000 vehicle at Larry H. Miller Toyota Murray
Larry H. Miller Dealerships are “Driven By You,” and as the
Group marked the 1,500,000th customer, the tagline is truer
than ever.
On Saturday, September 27, 2014, Larry
H. Miller Dealerships sold its 1.5 millionth
vehicle at the company’s flagship store
Larry H. Miller Toyota Murray. Customers
Betty and Robert Griffin were shopping
for a vehicle for their daughter, Priscilla,
and a white, four-door 2013 Toyota
Corolla fit the bill. Imagine the family’s
surprise when, after signing on the
dotted line for the vehicle, they set a
string of events in motion. Needless to
say, the Griffins were speechless at the
announcement.
“Our family purchased the store over 35 years ago and
celebrating this occasion where our company first began holds
special meaning,” said Greg Miller.
From the time Larry H. Miller sold the first
of many vehicles in 1979, the Group has
marked each of the milestones in sales
with enthusiasm. It took 22 years and
eight months to go from that first vehicle
to the 500,000th in December of 2001.
The automotive group only required an
additional five years and 10 months to reach
the one millionth mark in September of
2007. While the sales journey to its current
customer milestone took a little longer to
reach, the drive to two million is on track to
outpace all of the previous records.
This remarkable milestone was celebrated
on Wednesday, October 1, as the Griffin
family took delivery of their new car
with a showroom full of family, balloons,
company management and staff. Gail
Miller and Dean Fitzpatrick, MAO president, presented the
Griffin family with an all-expense-paid trip to Cancun, Mexico.
Priscilla Griffin and Toyota Murray GM,
Lance Barraclough, go airborne as the
keys to the 1.5 millionth vehicle are
handed off at the celebration.
“These milestones and celebrations are made
possible by the hard work and dedication
of the employees at each of our dealerships,
as well as the continued support of our
customers and the community. With this
kind of drive, loyalty and dedication, we can expect many
more events like this in the future,” said Dean Fitzpatrick.
