Employee Benefits 2015
NEW CHANGES - GREAT NEWS FOR EMPLOYEES
Over the past few weeks, employees across the company
received their benefits enrollment packet for the coming year.
These packets contain an overview of available benefits, health
insurance coverage and elections, as well as information about
the 401(k) and wellness programs. This year, there are changes
to the following areas that every employee should review:
- Holiday schedule
- Vacation
- Sick leave
- Personal time off (PTO)
- 401(k)
- Holiday Match program

“As the Larry H. Miller Group has grown and defined specific
companies and areas, having a unified benefits policy has become more
important than ever,” said Lynda Jeppesen, senior vice president of human
resources. “We’re excited to share these new changes and are especially
grateful to the Miller family and management for seeking out programs that
provide valuable benefits for our employees.”
Here are a few of the changes that will go into effect starting Jan. 1, 2015:
VACATION:
An enhanced vacation schedule, based on tenure, will be introduced in 2015.
Specific information on vacation time will be announced by your enterprise
management and additional information will be included in the 2015
Employee Handbook.
PERSONAL TIME OFF:
After five years of employment, employees will earn one Personal Time Off
(PTO) day per calendar year. After 10 years of employment, employees
earn two PTO days per calendar year. PTO is earned on a calendar basis
(anniversary of hire date for MAO).
401(k):
Participation: Age 21 or older. Eligibility begins on the first of the month
following 60 consecutive days of full-time employment (30 hours+ per
week); minimum of 1,000 hours from initial anniversary of hire date;
thereafter, minimum hour requirement is based on calendar year (applies to
part-time employees). Eligible participants will now be automatically enrolled
in the 401(k) plan at a minimum 1% deferral rate. Individuals may continue to
elect up to 50% deferral, or waive participation. Employees may change their
deferral contribution on a monthly basis.
HOLIDAY MATCH:
Eligible employees will have the option of participating in the Holiday Bonus
(where allowed by law). More information on this program will be included in
the 2015 Employee Handbook. WS
