Character Violations { 6 / 10 / 20 }
Most violations in the Conduct Code are categorized by the action or inaction of the student and are not directly reflective of the student ’ s character . For example , forgetting to take out the dorm trash , although a violation , is not a good indicator of character . However , certain violations are much stronger indicators that the student ’ s character – the innate moral and ethical reasoning abilities that influence the student ’ s actions and decisions – are in question . They are inherent to each student and include ( but are not limited to ) offenses such as lying , cheating , stealing , insubordination , and disrespect .
These violations tend to carry significantly more “ weight ” at Williamson and the Vice President of Student Affairs will typically assign 1 day of Grounds Detail per 8 points .
