Golf News Atlanta National Golf News and Events Finally! After a long winter of bad weather and playing conditions the REAL golf season is here — the greens are healing up from aerification, the grass is greening up, days are longer and the weather is warmer. Get out here and enjoy YOUR golf course. Atlanta National and White Columns’ staff and members were thrilled to get new EZGO golf carts for their courses in March. Upcoming AN Dates to Note: APRIL 1 Ladies Opening Day APRIL 4 9 and Dine shotgun start at 4:00p.m. APRIL 17 Men’s One Day Member/Guest APRIL 17 Demo Day with Ping, Taylor Made, Adams and Callaway 3:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. on the practice tee APRIL 23-25 The Bailey Cup Men’s Member/Guest NO Monday Outings this Month, we have some but they are on Tuesday. We’ll be open our regular schedule all month. We’ve got a lot going on this month with Ladies Opening Day, Masters Week, a Men’s One Day Member/Guest and our annual Demo Day and then The Bailey Cup Member/Guest at the end of the month. Back this year will be a late afternoon weekday men’s group — play 9 holes and have drinks after, a late afternoon weekday practice session with one of the pros and we are starting a 9 and Dine program this year. Dates for all of these are listed below in the upcoming events section. The Men’s Group and practice session dates are TBD. The Golf Shop is close to being fully stocked for the season — we’ve already gotten all our new footwear in as well as shipments of clothing from Polo, Adidas, Foot Joy and Oxford. We’ve added Oxford for the ladies this spring as well as new items from Adidas. Please give us an opportunity to help you with all your golf needs. We can’t stock everything out there but, we have accounts with all the major companies and will be glad to special order anything not in stock. We can get demo clubs for you to try if we don’t have what you are interested in and will be glad to fit you outside where you can actually see what the golf ball is doing. – Dean Alexander, Head Golf Professional, PGA Master Professional Atlanta National Golf Club Congratulations to these Winners!
