DESIGN  Officer's Minute Eric Yao, a candidate in this year's state elections, answers questions about the process. I plan on continuing my Latin studies through college thanks to my teacher, Mr. Ward. When I started Latin in middle school, I planned to stop after fulfilling my minimum reqs, but thanks to him I was introduced to a whole community of people and a whole new love for the language What’s your favorite TV show? Well, until "Game of Thrones" returns, my favorite show would have to be "The Good Doctor." It's really funny and has caused me to stay up way too late on many school nights haha. Finally, do you have any tips for future editors? Do your best to communicate with everyone that will help you make the publication. It is most definitely not a one-man job. I made that mistake early on and caused me to make some pretty bad publications. Also, do your best to not procrastinate. Take pride in your work, and other people will see it too. THE BREAKDOWN How would you describe what you do ? Do you have any personal goals for the coming year? I’m in charge of creating the local publications. My co- editor, Oliver Long, and I work together to make a full publication every two months detailing the events that happen in our local chapter. I also submit an entry to the state publication, the Alae, everytime that it is published as well. I am planning on running for state office at this year's convention! I have been assembling my portfolio since last semester and hope to make a bigger impact on the state level. Photograph by Eric Yao Will the classics be a part of your future?
