Description : This course is an introductory college-level drawing course . Students will refine and apply drawing skills to ideas they develop throughout the course . Students will develop skills in drawing as they explore different media and approaches . Students will create a portfolio of work to demonstrate inquiry through art and design and development of materials , processes , and ideas over the course of a year . The student ’ s portfolio will serve as the AP “ exam ” for this course . Students earn an additional 1.0 quality point towards their GPA for this course .

Description : This course is an introductory college-level art history course . Students cultivate their understanding of art history through analyzing works of art and placing them in historical context as they explore concepts like culture and cultural interactions , theories and interpretations of art , the impact of materials , processes , and techniques on art and art making , and understanding purpose and audience in art historical analysis . This course will prepare students for the AP Art History Exam . Students earn an additional 1.0 quality point towards their GPA for this course .
