Course Name : Baking and Pastry II ( coming 26-27 SY ) Type of Course : Elective Course Available to : 11th and 12th grade
Prerequisites : Baking and Pastry I ( 80 %+)
Description : This is the third course in the Baking and Pastry Pathway . This course is an advanced and rigorous in-depth course designed for the student who is continuing in the Baking and Pastry Pathway and wishes to continue their education at the postsecondary level or enter the food-service industry as a proficient and well-rounded individual . Strong importance is given to refining hands-on production of the classic fundamentals in the commercial kitchen . Students who successfully complete this should be prepared to take an End of Pathway Assessment ( EOPA ) to be able to earn an industry-recognized credential .

Students develop a basic understanding of employability , foundational business and marketing skills , economics , entrepreneurship , marketing information management , product / service management , promotion , selling , and channel management and distribution .
