DUAL ENROLLMENT( DE) INFORMATION
Dual Enrollment( DE) is a Georgia funded program that allows high school students to take college courses that can simultaneously count toward high school and college requirements. DE courses cannot be chosen during Wheeler’ s course registration. DE registration can only be completed through the Wheeler Dual Enrollment counseling link listed below. If a Wheeler student completes the DE course registration, they will get to choose their DE courses that will replace their scheduled Wheeler courses once the school semester has begun. Students will attend their DE classes either on their college’ s campus or online with the exception of NAST 2100: Patient Care Fundamentals which is taught at Wheeler. For online DE courses, students may not stay on Wheeler’ s campus during their scheduled DE course block.
Eligible students must:
Be enrolled in 10th *, 11th or 12th grade * 10th grade students are limited to taking CTAE courses through Dual Enrollment unless they have a 1200 SAT score or 26 ACT score in one-sitting to submit to the college. Meet college admissions requirements for their DE program Meet high school participation requirements specific to Cobb County: Be on track for graduation Be in good academic standing Adhere to all of the policies specifically stated in the Cobb County School District Local School Agreement
If a student is interested in any CTAE courses that are not offered at Wheeler such as Cosmetology, Welding, Automotive Mechanics, etc., Dual Enrollment may be a great option to explore!

Students wanting to participate in Dual Enrollment must complete all registration steps listed through the Wheeler Dual Enrollment Counseling link listed below. Registration must be complete prior to the listed deadlines for each semester.
