Big changes at the Organic Farmers Co-op

A day in the life of doctors – off duty
An exhibition held in Atherton from this month will offer a fresh perspective of north Queensland doctors , doing what they love when away from their enormous work pressures .
One of the photographers , Atherton Solicitor Danielle Hodgens , said the exhibition , ' Doc ' s Day Off ', started as an art project and took on a life of its own from there , with help from other avid spare time photographers Cairns Barrister Joseph Jacobs , Atherton Therapist George Kneipp and Cairns Paediatrician Tim Warnock , along with Psychiatrist Paul Trott who provided access to the medicos .
Many months in the making and lots of travelling in between – the end result is a product born from adventure and trust , featuring more than 80 doctors , including some from the Tablelands .
The photographers feel there is often a large gap between seeing doctors as practitioners in their field and the everyday human – just like the rest of us .
" They work so hard and give so much , this exhibition is a great way to show them in a new light , enjoying activities like the rest of us ," Danielle said .
" Creating the exhibition was a great experience and the participants were very trusting .
" Each photograph is a story , to get all the images we had to go on a lot of adventures . The participants chose the activities and location of each photoshoot , and the photographers picked which image would feature in the exhibition . No one saw their image until the opening exhibition in Cairns last month ."

' Doc ' s Day Off ', previously exhibited in Cairns at The Tanks , has been a great success . The official opening night for the Tablelands will be on Friday March 10 , 5.30pm at the Tablelands Regional Gallery . The exhibition will be on display for 5 weeks . Admission is free .
All jewellery is designed and hand made by Kai Hagberg who is a qualified Jeweller and Master Engraver with 35 years ’ experience .
