Danceathon
The Grade 6 and 7 learners were challenged to dance for as long as they could in the given time frame. This challenge was accepted by all the girls who were there and we really saw some fun and interesting dance moves. The staff showed the girls how to do line dancing and then learnt some more modern dance moves from them.
Mother daughter dance
Almost 1000 mothers, daughters and staff members gathered together to celebrate fun, friendship and the magic of being a woman. The venue was superbly decorated by Mrs Sergeant with‘ A Splash of Colour’. The catered treats were mouth-watering and the activity tables were a hit! Girls were busy with their moms all night making bracelets, colouring in rainbows and writing letters to each other. The DJ made sure the dance floor was always full and the prizes this year were incredible, our best sponsorship yet! Thousands of rands worth of giveaways were handed out to lucky winners. A HUGE thank you to our dads for manning the tuckshop and being bouncers at the doors. Another big thanks goes to the staff and PTA parents who spent hours setting up and removing decor. It was a magical evening!
Grade R, 1 and 2 Story Evening
Our little girls( mostly in pink pyjamas) arrived at school with anticipation for the Story Evening. They were welcomed with a fresh bag of popcorn and were taken to the hall to listen to the inspiring story teller Mr Bell. He entertained the girls by playing songs, doing magic and telling stories. Towards the end of the evening, the girls had a dance off to a variety of music videos.
Grade 3 – 5 Games Evening
Who would ever have imagined that spending your Friday night at school could be so much fun? From bobbing apples to relay races and duster hockey this was an evening enjoyed by all who attended. The hot chocolate warmed all the tummies and gave the much needed energy to continue with the games
