Fundraising
Our goal this year was to have FUN while fundraising
R180 000 towards the upgrade of WGJS. Thanks to
everyone who supported and participated in the various
events over the year. We have done very well to almost
reach our target and are eagerly anticipating our Family
Fun Day which we are certain will help us in achieving
this goal. Thanks to all the parents, grandparents, and
extended families of WGJS who swipe their Makro and
MySchool cards and contribute in this manner.
Several key events were held during the year to ensure
that the girls had fun along the way.
Picnic
We started the year off with a picnic on the WGJS mini
astro. The picnic was open to all grades and each family
brought their own picnic goodies along. The event was
enjoyed by all the families that attended, and it was
wonderful to see the families and learners getting to
know one another as the first term got into full swing.
Next year this will be even bigger and better than ever
before, be sure not to miss this social evening of seeing
old friends and making new ones.
Grand Raffle
This year, we had a Grand Raffle which had over 30
amazing prizes from weekends away to gift hampers and
vouchers for various activities. We were overwhelmed
by the number of tickets that the Wynberg families sold.
Thank you for your support and congratulations to all
the winners!
Pizza Day
What better way to end off winter than
by having a Pizza and Civvies Day.
This year we sold close to 600 pizzas.
We are sure they were thoroughly
enjoyed by those that purchased
them. Thank you to Debonairs
Plumstead for once again ensuring
our families all received their
ordered pizzas before the end of
the school day.
