y r t n u o Cross C Keep g! goin What an incredible season of cross country we have had! For the first time in Wynberg history, the girls at our school have had the opportunity to be coached by a professional coach. Our aim this year for cross country was to improve running styles and create an innate love and passion for being fit and healthy. This is exactly what the coach helped us to achieve. Throughout the year, we saw many different faces accepting the challenge to take part in Friday cross country races. Every week we were fortunate to witness the learners set personal goals for themselves, persevere, reach their goal and then simply move the benchmark a little bit higher and set a new goal. Two learners who set the benchmark very high were Kelsey Edwards and Mia El Chamaa who were selected to partake in the Zonal Championships. We fared much better than in previous years at the PGSGU Inter-Schools Cross Country, with some stand-out performances from our girls who wore their Wynberg badges with pride. We are extremely proud of our Wynberg Girls Junior School cross country team who were consistent with their hard work and determination and always finished a race with a huge smile on their faces.
