The first-of-its-kind partnership between WVSOM and another college or university , the agreement provides a medicalfocused doctoral program for WVWC , building on its undergraduate and graduate-level award-winning nursing programs .

Westbrook Health Services Awarded $ 2 Million Federal CCBHC Grant
Westbrook Health Services has been awarded a $ 2 million Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic ( CCBHC ) annual grant over two years from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to expand and improve access to behavioral health care in Calhoun , Jackson , Pleasants , Ritchie , Roane , Tyler , Wirt and Wood counties .
The focus population includes individuals who need mental health and / or substance use disorder treatment services . The expansion will increase access for clients who are unable to afford services and in rural areas where services are not readily available by providing transportation and increasing overall capacity by funding 23 staff positions .
Westbrook has appointed Chief Clinical Officer Eric Limegrover , Ph . D ., as the CCBHC expansion project coordinator . In his new role , Limegrover will lead a team of specialists , physicians , therapists , nurses , case managers , peer recovery coaches and van drivers . The team will be tasked with increasing training efforts for staff ; expansion of transportation options for clients ; increasing telehealth services to reach a more rural population ; initiating outreach and expansion with local military groups , Department of Veterans Affairs-affiliated hospitals and other veteran organizations to provide sustainable mental health and / or substance use services to veterans and their families ; and establishing an advisory group comprised of individuals with mental health and substance use disorders , as well as their family members , to provide input and guidance on implementation , services and policies .
