Akkary Surgery Center has been serving
patients in Morgantown, WV, since 2008,
but it is more than its decade-long history
that sets Dr. Ehab Akkary’s practice apart.

academic institution before joining a
community hospital. He and his team

designation of Bariatric Surgery Center of
Excellence at both facilities. Akkary’s was
also the first practice in central West
Virginia to offer gastric balloon procedures.
Akkary has built his practice by nurturing
personal relationships with his clients,
consistently receiving patient-voted awards
for his dedicated and compassionate care.
While some surgical practices might focus
on high volume, Akkary carefully limits
the number of clients he sees because he
believes in giving each his individualized
attention.
“When patients come in, they always see
me personally,” he says. “They have my
phone number and can reach me directly.”
As of May 2019, Akkary Surgery Center is
accredited by the Accreditation Association
for Ambulatory Health Care. Accreditation
distinguishes this office-based surgery
center from many other outpatient facilities
by providing the highest quality of care to
its patients as determined by an independent,
external process of evaluation. Akkary is
board certified in cosmetic surgery, facial
cosmetic surgery and general surgery by
the American Board of Cosmetic, Facial
and General Surgery in West Virginia
and Pennsylvania.
Skinsational Medspa, a sister company
of Akkary Surgery Center, offers a wide
variety of services such as injectables like
botox, fillers, restylane, radiesse and
silicon; laser and IPL treatments; facials;
dermal infusions; chemical peels; massages;
waxing; and flotation therapy. Flotation
therapy is a sensory deprivation chamber
that has many physical and mental benefits
that help with muscle aches and soreness
as well as a complete relaxation experience
that is commonly used by many professional
athletes. Skinsational Medspa is the only
spa or medical spa in Morgantown to offer
this service.
All medical procedures performed at the
spa, including injectables and laser and
IPL treatments, are performed by Akkary
