Hi ,
I hope everyone is keeping safe and well .
Thank you for your card celebrating Meg ' s first year with us , the time has certainly flown by .
Meg has truly settled in now , she definitely knows that this is home , so is much more relaxed . I think she knows that she does not need to constantly please us , she has the run of the house , so her confidence has really grown . She really is very intelligent to , she picks things up very quickly she already knows our routine better than we do !!
She has had lots of new adventures , from attending French speaking lessons with us , joining various work Teams meetings more trips to the sea , forest and mountains . She even went to a Christmas light show at a nearby Chateau . She also has three cat friends ( as well as our own ) one of which enjoys the morning walk to the farm with her .
The vet has really helped her allergies . She has a monthly shot of Cytopoint and is on a prescribed diet , which seems to have minimised all the issues she had .
For us , Meg has become central to our lives . From waking up with a wet kiss in the morning to cuddling up on the sofa at night , she is a constant loving companion . We are so grateful that she is with us .
Kind Regards David
Hi ,
I hope you remember Indy ( previously Joi ) the little foxhound / beagle cross ( turns out she ' s probably a trail hound ) who I rehomed as a friend for Sammy who we had rehomed 9 months previous from you . She was only with you for four days but enjoyed sitting in the office with staff .
She has settled down really well over the last six months and is the most loving , sweet little girl . She didn ' t know any commands when I first brought her home but is a fast learner and now knows several . She no longer pulls on walks and walks beautifully along mainly on a loose leash by my side . Last month I registered her as a ESA dog as I have PTSD and am autistic . 5 weeks ago I hired a trainer to help with recall and some reactivity towards other dogs and just some extra basic training .
She ' s coming along so well and I am so proud of her . She does have a lot of separation anxiety and can ' t be left on her own . Hoping to work on this at some point soon . So funny to think we came for another collie and ended up with a little trail hound , totally unexpected but it was definitely fate as she ' s absolutely the perfect dog for me . Couldn ' t love her more if I tried . So thank you !
