MEET LISA HOFFMAN
Events Manager
The Town of Waxhaw would like to introduce the community
to Lisa Hoffman, Events Manager. From the Holiday Festival of
Lights to Jammin’ by the Tracks, there isn’t an event in town that
she doesn’t have a role in planning. Lisa is an eight-year veteran of
the Waxhaw team.
She came to our town with an extensive background in the events
planning arena, most notably as the Executive Director for the
Experimental Aircraft Association. Here she, along with her team,
planned an annual aviation celebration with attendance in excess
of 600,000 people from across the country.
Lisa has worn many hats since joining the Waxhaw team, including Events Assistant, Newsletter Editor,
Events Coordinator, and currently, Events Manager.
A typical day in the life as Events Manager includes, but is not limited to: organizing event details,
recruiting bands and searching for entertainment, coordinating children’s activities, assigning vendors
and concessionaires, finding speakers for patriotic ceremonies, speech writing, and more. There is also a
great deal of hands-on time in the field, from set-up to clean-up after events are over.
The Town of Waxhaw would like to thank Lisa for her efforts in creating and executing successful events
for our community. Parks & Rec has done a great job working alongside emergency management teams
to make sure events are not only enjoyable but also safe for all attendees.
