Boss went missing in January of 2014. Despite multiple attempts to find him, he
seemingly just vanished. In April, an injured beagle was brought into the WCSPCA.
He was cared for and eventually made it into the adoption program. For months, he
sat there waiting to be adopted. The WCSPCA staff constantly combs the internet looking to
match pictures of lost pets with animals who arrive at the shelter. Early in November, Alyssa
posted her lost dog’s picture one more time. She had pretty much given up all hope but
Shelter Manager, Amber Farr happened to see the post and knew we had the dog.
Alyssa said, “It was one of the best days of my life, I was shocked! I didn’t know what

Honestly, I never thought I would see him again.”

him. A picture was posted on Facebook begging for someone to adopt him. The next day, a resident
of Green County Village adopted him. She says, “He is the nicest cat I have ever owned. We keep each
other company. When I get up, he follows me around like a puppy. When we go to bed he lies next to
me with his nose against my pillow. After I fall asleep he moves to the foot of the bed. He loves to be
brushed. He greets everyone who comes to see me.” He apparently loves to help her with computer
work and she adds, “He has a beautiful voice & I love to hear him purr.”
