Kelly Brennan Joins AWB Membership Team
The AWB membership department welcomed Kelly Brennan as a membership manager in mid-May . Brennan comes to AWB from New York , where she worked in the small business sector . She has also worked as a teacher and women ’ s lacrosse coach .
AWB Leads Spring Training Trip to Arizona
Brennan has a bachelor ’ s degree in political science and government from St . Lawrence University and a master of science in sustainable food systems from Green Mountain College .

Spring Meeting in Vancouver Discusses AI , Economy , Leadership , State and National Politics
For the second year in a row , AWB led a group to Peoria , Ariz . for Spring Training .
Spring Meeting ’ s “ Vancouver Thriving ” panel featured : Mike Bomar , Port of Vancouver ; Max Ault , LSW Architects ; Patrick Gilligan , Lincoln Property Company ; and Allie Persitz ( Magyar ), tech founder and entrepreneur .
For the third year in a row , AWB held the annual Spring Meeting in Vancouver , among the city ’ s dynamic waterfront renovations and growing downtown core .
Thirty business and elected leaders from across the state learned more about the business of sports and the impact it has on the economy , including the planning that ’ s already underway for the 2026 World Cup games in Seattle . Beth Knox , president and CEO of the Seattle Sports Commission , spoke along with members of the Seattle Mariners staff , under the leadership of Fred Rivera , executive vice president and general counsel for the Mariners .
The group also took in a game against the Chicago White Sox .
The day started with a look at the economy and ended with a keynote discussion about the national election landscape with a bipartisan pair of CNN commentators who have worked with both presidential campaigns . In between , the content touched on statewide elections , civic health , artificial intelligence and more .
The day before the event , the AWB Institute Board met and the Grassroots Alliance of AWB and local chambers had a work session . The three days of activities concluded as the AWB board met to vote on initiative endorsements . spring 2024 15
