44th Annual International Pleasure & Colt Grand Championships July 21-30 , 2022 • Murfreesboro , Tennessee

Best In Show No Canter was won by King Mojo and Hannah Myatt for Kathy Anderson who had claimed the blues in the Trail Pleasure / Classic Trail Pleasure Amateur Championship earlier .
Day 1
The 44th international Horse Show opened to a day a bit different from the usual format of the International . This year the Hunter Hack , TWH Over Fences and the Dressage divisions shared the ring with the TWHBEA . Each association had their own judge , their own ribbons , their own trophies , did their entries with the respective associations however it was two different shows going on in the same ring at the same time . This tuned out to be savings in several ways — -time-moneyetc . It is so good to see the two most important associations of the industry working together and getting along so well . English Dressage started the day with 27 entries followed by the ever popular Western Dressage with72 entries . Congratulations to all

Best In Show Canter , Annie ’ s Silver Dream with B . J . Richards up for Ann Johnson , DVM . This combo worked hard all week winning several classes and retired the Price-Shelton Memorial Challenge Trophy .
Day 2
The second day of the International was July 23rd and was VERSATILITY DAY ! Again the format is different as usually the 3rd day of The International is Versatility day . A day that can cause stress for this ole doll as I am afraid an obstacle might have been left at home — a pattern might be too easy or too difficult , someone might fall off in a speed event , etc . The day proved to be not stressful and , to move with efficiency due to the excellent help of the versatility team , Larry Starnes , Vic Gernt , Scott Keen and Jodi Dedecker-Bubar The horses were in top form , however the bragged on air conditioning of the Miller was , sadly lacking ! Hopefully it will be fixed by in the morning . At least we weren ’ t outside in the scorching sun and dripping humidity . I will have to be more creative with the patterns . Please send me your ideas for obstacles as I tried several new obstacles and the horse performed like they had done these obstacles many , many times !
Yearling Classes are interspersed with the versatility giving both divisions time to change equipment , horses , rest and be ready for the next class . Winning the RC Yearling Stallion Class was the “ miracle Colt ” The Royal Ascot . This colt was conceived ???? years after the death of his sire , The Royal Master thru the use of frozen semen . The Royal Ascot is regal in looks and closely resembles his famous sire . “ WE ” need to do an article on this special happening as it is a miracle indeed .
The Rowdy Ranch food truck will be feeding staff and exhibitors for the week . Tony and crew have THE BEST meals . It is truly a blessing to have a meal served to you on the show grounds and during the show so you aren ’ t faint with hunger nor do you have to do a quick food search thru a town you are not familiar with .. Rowdy Ranch Crew and WHOA , we appreciate this more than you can imagine .
