Vivian Xue - President
Avete comites ! My name is Vivian Xue , and it ’ s truly an honor to serve as your VJCL President . I ’ m currently a junior at TJHSST and an AP Latin student , and serve as a historian on the TJ LHS Executive Board . I ’ ve been a part of the VJCL for 5 years and attended 5 State conventions and 2 nationals . Some things about me : 1 ) I live , laugh , and love Certamen and specialize in mythology , 2 ) I cannot escape the influence of Classics ( not that I ’ ve tried ), so most of my art is also Classics-related , and 3 ) in my spare time , I can be found struggling through multivariable calculus and practicing archery . I am so unbelievably excited and grateful for this amazing opportunity , and I cannot wait to forge forward on new , favorable winds !
Mackenzie Sanford - 1st Vice President -
Salvete omnes ! I ’ m Mackenzie , a sophomore at Flint Hill taking AP Latin . I ’ ve been a part of the JCL for 4 years and am currently my local chapter ’ s First Vice President for the second time . I also enjoy Certamen ( I ’ ve played on the Virginia team for the last 3 years ), reading , doing art badly , and rock climbing . I ’ m so excited to be your First Vice President and I can ’ t wait to do more with the JCL !
