THE CIAA BELONGS IN BALTIMORE
After successfully hosting the CIAA Men’ s and Women’ s Basketball Tournaments since 2021, Baltimore had the opportunity to bid to keep the event in the city from 2027 through 2029— and we won! Visit Baltimore’ s winning bid featured a custom interactive newspaper, Heart & Hustle, highlighting our ongoing partnership and history of hosting successful tournaments year after year.
ULTIMATE BALTIMORE STAY GIVEAWAY
As part of a larger multi-platform media strategy to drive ticket sales, deepen fan engagement, and showcase the city’ s creativity, we launched the Ultimate Baltimore Stay Giveaway. Championship ticket holders could win a two-night stay in a fully transformed hotel room, curated with the Lord Baltimore Hotel and Baltimore-based artist and designer Tamara Payne.
The room celebrated Baltimore’ s creativity and honored Black women in art, featuring Afrocentric décor, contributions from local makers and works from 11 accomplished Black female artists. The giveaway generated 289 entries, engaging fans and reinforcing Baltimore as a vibrant hub of culture, community and innovation.
