SMALLTIMORE ON THE ROAD

In the past year, Visit Baltimore took our mobile visitor center, Smalltimore, to three of the industry’ s biggest events— ASAE Annual Meeting in Cleveland, IMEX America in Las Vegas and PCMA Convening Leaders in Houston— creating lasting impressions among planners and c-suite decision makers.
At ASAE, attendees got a glimpse of Baltimore’ s momentum as we invited them to step into the future and preview the upcoming redevelopment of our Inner Harbor. At IMEX, we leaned into Smalltimore’ s iconic rowhouse façade, transforming our space into a lively block party right on the tradeshow floor.
At PCMA, we debuted Club Balto— an exclusive, insiders-only“ IYKYK” experience for meeting planners. New members of the club took a lighthearted pledge and received local swag with the club motto,“ Trust Me, I Planned This.” Club Balto quickly became a must-visit stop on the show floor, sparking conversations and reinforcing Baltimore’ s reputation as a city that seamlessly blends business with unforgettable experiences.
Across all three shows, our Smalltimore activations reached more than 15,000 attendees and drove real-time conversations about Baltimore as an innovative, inclusive host city. We didn’ t just promote Baltimore, we invited attendees to be part of it. The impact was recognized with a bronze HSMAI Adrian Award for“ Integrated Campaign, Experiential Marketing,” celebrating the success of our Meetings & Conventions strategy.
