Then, we held a teacher meetand-greet session, where educators from all partner schools came together to connect, align project goals and plan the first steps of our journey. project. Finally, a project-wide vote was held, and the winning design was proudly chosen as the official logo of Voices and Rhythms.
With preparations complete, we were ready to hand the stage over to our students. They received their login credentials and learned how to navigate the project platform and forum. Each student was encouraged to introduce themselves online, sparking the first wave of cross-cultural interaction. We also conducted a pre-survey to get a snapshot of their prior knowledge and expectations.
To break the ice in a truly musical way, we invited each school to contribute three traditional songs from their country to a shared Padlet wall. This rich collection of folk and cultural tunes became our first exchange: a virtual jukebox of Europe’ s musical heritage! To help students engage more actively with the songs, we designed a fun quiz on Panquiz, based on the uploaded tracks. This interactive activity didn’ t just test memory; it invited students to listen closely, discover new sounds, and start appreciating the diversity of our project family.
With introductions complete and the rhythm already building, we were ready to dive deeper into our shared exploration of music, language, and culture.
From tradition to creation: Exploring music through podcasts To achieve the goals of our project, we followed our activity calendar step by step and carried out the following podcast broadcasts in order.
1. Podcast- Beyond the Classroom: The Project and Students’ Presentation.
To spark engagement and set a creative tone, we launched an interactive logo design activity. Students were placed into mixed-country teams and invited to brainstorm and share ideas on the student forum.
