This international eTwinning project brings together enthusiastic students and dedicated teachers from across Europeuniting 1 ° ICS Pellico School in Pachino( Italy), CEIP Mediterraneo in Puerto de Sagunto, Valencia( Spain), 2nd Primary School of Artemida and Arsakeio Junior High School of Thessaloniki( Greece), Escola EB2,3 de Frei Bartolomeu dos Mártires in Viana do Castelo( Portugal), and from Turkey, Pınar Kulfat Primary School in Köyceğiz, Muğla and Urla Science and Art Center in İzmir. A total of 186 curious and creative students are taking part in this joyful journey, ready to explore the rich musical traditions of their countries, give voice to their stories, and connect through the power of rhythm and sound-letting music and stories lead the way!
Our project aims to raise students’ cultural awareness, enhance their digital literacy and support their linguistic and interpersonal skills through the lens of musical traditions. As part of the project, each country introduced its own traditional music styles, instruments, and dances,
sharing their cultural heritage on the project’ s Spotify channel. Working in collaborative, mixed-country teams, students created music-themed podcasts, gaining valuable experience in audio content creation while improving their use of digital tools.
Thanks to releasing podcasts, digital presentations, joint music activities, and intercultural meetups, the project empowered students to think creatively, collaborate effectively and express themselves with confidence. One of the project’ s most inspiring aspects was how it blended traditional musical elements with modern digital media tools, giving students the chance to build bridges between cultures. The podcast production process, in particular, helped students take on responsibility and experience multilingual communication in action. An inclusive approach was followed throughout the project, encouraging the active participation of all students with parental consent.“ Voices and Rhythms: Exploring Music Traditions Through Podcasts” stands out as an innovative and high-impact example that not only helps students explore and appreciate their own culture but also gives them a meaningful opportunity to share it on an international stage and empathize with others around them.
Voices come together: Our warm-up journey Every great collaboration starts with a thoughtful introduction, and that is exactly how we launched our project. Before jumping into the musical world, we took care of the essentials: parental consent
