Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2025 Newsletter in their own classrooms. And, of course, the strong professional network they develop through these enriching interactions will continue to support and inspire their creativity and innovation throughout every stage of their eTwinning journey.
eTwinning ITE works in a similar way as mainstream eTwinning, transforming education into a supported, international collaborative experience. Members can share resources, help each other with challenges, and celebrate successes together. Many lasting professional relationships emerge from initial project partnerships. These connections often evolve into research collaborations, conference presentations, Erasmus + international stays and, more importantly, lifelong professional friendships.
Beyond all these more formal benefits, eTwinning ITE is a sign of the institution’ s commitment to an international and intercultural preparation of teachers. This can be a factor to attract globally minded student teachers. It can also serve as a source of innovation programs that can lead to research, publications, and to the development of new and powerful pedagogical ideas. eTwinning ITE can be easily recognized as a free, strategic investment any university can do towards program quality and relevance.
How do student teachers join? Student teachers should register using their university email addresses, as this verifies their status and maintains institutional affiliation. After registration, they appear as " Pending Validation " in the
system. This temporary status ensures the platform security while creating a brief waiting period before full access. Communicate this clearly to the students to avoid frustration and maintain enthusiasm for upcoming collaborations.
The validation process, at least in Spain, requires the teacher educator to fill in a spreadsheet, containing each student ' s name, registration email, and degree program. Then, they must send it to the NSO. Pay attention to detail, as discrepancies delay validation. Doublechecking entries before submission saves time and maintains project momentum.
Once validated( typically within days), students gain full platform access to begin their transformative learning experiences. Students get excited when they access the full platform for the first time, as they can explore international connections that were unavailable before. This enthusiasm validates all the administrative effort of the teacher to reach the full registration.
