Young Heros’ journey started with the commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Students explored its articles and familiarized themselves with important issues on the agenda. In national teams, students watched the video entitled” Human Rights belong to all of us”, they filled in TwinPoll questions and created a word cloud by filling in words in English and in their mother tongue that they felt best represented the concept of human rights. As a wrap up, students from all partner schools created the collaborative video entitled” Hope in Our Hands”.
Human rights The exploration of SDG 2( Zero Hunger) began with a video highlighting its key goals and challenges. Motivated by the key messages the video conveyed, students from partner schools shared their perspectives on the forum to co-author a story about a student-led cooking club in order to address the issue of food insecurity by focusing on the title of the story, the characters, the activities to run in the club, its dissemination, its impact and key messages.
Celebrations of the International Mother Language Day on the 21 st of February and the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development on May the
21 st promoted cultural awareness and appreciation of diversity among students by fostering intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding and respect within the eTwinning community. Students shared their mother tongues and their language preferences as well as folktales / myths / legends, traditional songs / dances and plastic arts representative of their cultures. Students created a multilingual wall, where they shared short phrases of kindness in English as well as in their mother tongue, interacted with their peers’ posts by leaving comments or showing appreciation using the heart symbol and enriched the wall by generating AI-assisted artwork to visually represent their written quotes. Moreover, students exchanged their views on the forum on suggested lyrics for songs celebrating the uniqueness of each language emphasizing the idea of unity through diversity. Two versions of songs were generated with the help of the Suno AI and one was selected in a voting poll.
Students have worked collaboratively in national teams to develop a game based on choice cards, focusing on identifying healthy and unhealthy habits, actions, and situations. Each team created choices with short explanations and shared their ideas in the forum. This activity supported their learning about SDG3( Good Health and Well-being), encouraging thoughtful discussion and reflection. The final game, built using the Interacty tool, brings their ideas to life in a fun and educational format.
