Young Voices as Agents of Change for a Sustainable Future by Aikaterini Rentzela and Maria Goreti Alves

Communities worldwide are facing complex, interrelated issues that impact human well-being, environmental sustainability and social harmony. Since local challenges mirror broader global issues, it is highlighted that no single country can address these problems in isolation. Through a Project-Based Learning approach, students are placed at the centre in this eTwinning project by engaging in real-world problem-solving through reflection, dialogue and collaboration. Connecting their local experiences to global goals students are empowered to see themselves as agents of change.

Students not only deepened their understanding of these pressing issues but also developed real-world solutions. Their collaborative efforts culminated in a shared manifesto- a powerful call to action that amplifies their voices and expresses their collective vision and commitment to shaping a more just and sustainable world.
We are sharing some of the activities showcasing students exploring how their local experiences connect to global efforts toward justice, health and sustainability.
