Empowering Young Minds: The eTwinning Journey of“ Our Skills, Our Power” by Raluca Gheorghiu

The“ Our Skills, Our Power” project was a dynamic eTwinning partnership that united schools from Greece, Romania, Georgia, and Turkey. With the aim of fostering essential life skills, the initiative focused on themes such as healthy eating, environmental stewardship, digital literacy, children’ s rights, and creative expression through storytelling.
A cross-border mission for 21stcentury competence Emphasizing a cross-curricular, studentcentred approach, the project offered students the opportunity to dive into hands-on and meaningful learning experiences. From digital storytelling to eco-art, and from songwriting to online safety promotion, learners explored realworld issues in imaginative ways.
Central themes were integrated through practical tasks like:
• Crafting multilingual eBooks and digital fairytales
• Designing collaborative artwork from recycled materials
• Composing original songs and poems
• Creating multilingual glossaries and interactive games
This immersive learning environment empowered students to refine their critical thinking, communication, and creative problem-solving skills while working with peers across Europe.
Technology as a Creative Catalyst The project harnessed an impressive suite of digital tools:
• BookCreator and StoryJumper for e-books
• Artsteps for a virtual eco-art museum
• Suno for AI-assisted songwriting
• Genially, Canva, and Emaze for videos, games, and visual presentations
• Padlet and lino. it for collaborative planning
• Kahoot for an engaging, multilingual quiz finale
• Google Sites, Drive, and TwinSpace for documentation, coordination, and sharing
These tools enabled students to become confident digital creators, with teachers providing ongoing support to guide exploration and integration.
