Integration of the project into the existing curriculum / subject and multidisciplinary approach The project on folk costumes from different countries was designed to integrate harmoniously into several subjects, offering a multidisciplinary approach that stimulated learning through real and relevant connections. Examples of integration:
• Romanian language and literature: Students wrote short descriptive texts or compositions about the country and the chosen costume, developing their vocabulary and written expression.
• Geography: They located the respective countries on the map and discussed the climate, traditions and cultural influences on folk clothing.
• History: They learned about the origins and evolution of traditional costumes, related to important historical moments or influences from other cultures.
• Visual arts and practical skills: They made drawings, collages and models inspired by traditional costumes, using various materials.
• Civic education: We discussed cultural diversity, respect, tolerance and the importance of national identity.
• Foreign languages: They learned names of clothing items or key phrases in the language of the chosen country.
How we achieved the project objectives The project objectives were achieved through a series of well-structured activities adapted carefully to our students’ level:
• By researching and presenting traditional costumes from different countries, students learned about history, geography and cultural traditions, achieving the objectives related to the knowledge of cultural diversity.
• Through artistic activities( drawings, collages, making clothing items), they developed creativity and fine motor skills.
• Through teamwork, they were encouraged to collaborate, assume responsibilities and develop their social skills.
• Oral presentations and exhibitions contributed to strengthening everybody’ s public expression and increasing selfconfidence.
How we evaluated the project The project was evaluated through various methods, adapted to the age and skills of the students:
