nutshell, by transforming ideas into action, the W. O. M. E. N. project proved that activism doesn’ t have to start in parliaments or at podiums, it can start with students, in classrooms, with conversations, courage, and small steps forward.
The eTwinning project proved that youth engagement, when guided by meaningful goals and collaborative strategies, can truly make a difference. Through dissemination activities rooted in creativity, empathy, inclusion, and selfconfidence, students didn’ t just learn about women’ s rights, they became part of the movement. And most importantly, they became voices of change.
Students’ reflections:’’ Participating in this project opened my eyes to how powerful collaboration across borders can be. It was fascinating to explore the Suffragette movement not just as a historical topic, but as a foundation for understanding current gender equality struggles. Comparing it to representations in movies helped bridge the past with the present. It reminded me how much progress has been made and how art can reflect activism. I also appreciated learning to work in international teams across time zones using the eTwinning platform.’’( Ion G.)
’’ The international W. O. M. E. N. project was a meaningful experience. Working with my team, I explored important topics like feminism and gender equality. We organized school activities to raise awareness and start open discussions. It was great to see students getting involved and thinking more deeply about these issues. One important lesson I learned is that feminism supports equal rights for everyone, not just women. I also realized how common stereotypes are and how important it is to question them. I felt proud seeing our hard work make a difference in our school and local community.’’( Jasmina C.)
’’ Attending the Women’ s Conference was an incredibly enriching and empowering experience.
