A memorable milestone: The studentled conference The high point of the project-promotion phase was the student-led conference,“ W. O. M. E. N. – We Open Minds Empowering Now: Student Voices and Achievements,” held on April 29, 2025. Students presented their most impactful project outcomes, reflected on their learning, and shared personal growth stories. The event was attended by teachers, students from other classes, school leadership, and parents. A studentwritten article( see [ Bulican, D.]) captured the event and was published on the school’ s website and communication channels, helping amplify student voice and perspective.
A highlight of the event was the participation of human rights expert Dominika Stojanoska, UN Women Representative in Moldova. Her presence added credibility, inspiration, and valuable insight into the global struggle for gender justice. Her message encouraged students to remain engaged, amplify their voices, and take an active role as advocates for change within their own communities.
Conclusion: Empowered voices, ongoing change The project’ s dissemination efforts reached far beyond internal school activities. Student products and achievements were shared across multiple platforms, including TwinSpace, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, school groups, Google site, and the school’ s official website. Several posts were also featured on the national eTwinning platform and in our institutional English e-magazine, which will dedicate a special issue to the project. These channels enabled students’ voices to reach local communities, international partners, and even national stakeholders, serving as a source of inspiration for others to launch similar initiatives.
Thus, what started with one idea grew into a network of actions and left behind memories, lessons, and changes that will last. Students reported greater confidence in public speaking, improved English communication skills, and deeper understanding of civic responsibility and human rights. They felt empowered to stand for their beliefs, listen actively, collaborate across cultures, and use digital tools responsibly and creatively. In a
