Central to the project ' s success was the use of online platforms, specifically Google Meet, facilitating real-time interactions among students from different countries. This digital approach allowed them to share their personal stories of bullying, participate in engaging Kahoot games focused on the topic, and work together to rethink and alter the endings of the narratives into positive outcomes.
We have used a variety of WEB tools to create digital content such as Padlet, Canva, Tricider, Google forms, Gamma AI, Mentimeter, Storyjumper, Tricider etc. These tools not only encouraged creativity but also evidently showcased how collaborative storytelling could reframe negative experiences, instilling hope and resilience.
The power of technology in this initiative cannot be overstated. It broke geographical barriers, allowing students to connect and share their experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Through open discussions and shared experiences, participants were able to gain insights into diverse perspectives on bullying, understanding that this problem transcends borders and cultures.
A vital aspect of " DSD: Because We Can " was the ongoing collaboration among teachers across various participating schools. The close relationships built during the planning and execution of the project played a crucial role in fostering an environment of trust and support. As teachers we exchanged best practices, provided emotional backing, and coordinated the project ' s themes and objectives, ensuring that every student’ s voice was heard.
This consistent collaboration among us also sets a precedent for future partnerships. By forging these connections, we enhanced our professional development, learning from one another ' s experiences and adapting strategies to better support our students.
