Conclusion Our school’ s first eTwinning experience was a transformative educational journey that:
• Nurtured students’ environmental awareness through creative, handson practices.
• Developed key digital, communication, and intercultural skills.
• Helped students build their identity as active, responsible citizens with a European and global outlook.
Dimitra Tsalkitzi is a primary school teacher at the 1st Primary School of Plomari, Greece, with seven years of experience. She holds two Master’ s degrees and has completed numerous training programs in various fields of education. She has presented her work at many pedagogical conferences.
This experience supports the view that participatory, experience-based learning is essential to fostering sustainability consciousness and democratic engagement from a young age. As international frameworks stress, such education empowers students to contribute meaningfully to a just and sustainable future.
