This project involved 16 teachers and 104 students from Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Turkey. In addition to improving mathematical skills, students gained insight into the education systems of partner countries and enhanced their English communication abilities.
We kicked off with a festive activity around the winter holidays, exchanging digital greetings and holding virtual meetups to discuss their school experiences and how the project made math more enjoyable. Students collaboratively built a calendar showcasing their creations, along with favourite Math quotes.
For Safer Internet Day, they illustrated online safety rules and displayed their posters in the classroom.
One of the most engaging moments was our collaborative Pi Day poster, which featured the first 104 digits of Pi— one for each student. It was later turned into a puzzle that sparked friendly competition. On eTwinning Day, students shared reflections on math and eTwinning on a digital wall. A highlight was the AIgenerated acrostic poem based on the project title, which all teams recited together in a video compilation.
The project e-book brought together student contributions from all partner schools. In our final activity, students met on Zumpad to enthusiastically share their impressions and exchange cultural insights, including places they had visited or wished to explore from their partners’ countries.
