Digital exchanges and learning The eTwinning platform served as the primary means of communication and collaboration throughout the project . Through videoconferences , online forums , and shared documents ( e . g . Google Slides , Canva , Linoit , Padlet ) students had the opportunity to exchange ideas , learn from each other ' s experiences , and broaden their perspectives on environmental issues .

This digital approach not only improved their technological skills , but also encouraged global cooperation and an intercultural outlook in the search for sustainable solutions .
Impact and achievements Throughout the project , the participating schools made significant strides in promoting sustainable practices in their local communities . They organized awareness campaigns , implemented recycling programs , started tree-planting initiatives , and conducted research on renewable energy sources . These hands-on activities enabled students to take an active role in building a greener future and inspired them to become true green citizens .
Maria Goreti Alves is a Biology and Geology teacher , currently teaching at Agrupamento de Escolas Nuno Gonçalves , Lisbon , Portugal . She has been an eTwinner since 2016 , who loves involving students in eTwinning projects , motivating them to learn more about cross curricular topics as well as broadening the European dimension of education .
Nelia Afonso , English teacher in a German school , had already worked on a previous eTwinning project . From this good collaboration and an everchanging world came the wish to realize a project focusing on the environment and the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs ).
