the newcomers and helped them with their first steps in eTwinning .
The topic of the project was sharing the heritage of our regions and countries – not only cultural heritage , but also our natural sights and environment . Pupils of our countries have learnt more about their partners ’ villages , towns , cities , regions and countries . The first activity was a “ Who is who ?” game . Each team prepared a description ( written or a video recording ) about its country and other teams had to read the clues or listen to them and guess where are their partners from .
Pupils have learnt not only about our local heritage , but also about safety on the Internet . They created common presentation about Easter in our countries and played a quiz about Easter traditions . We also celebrated the Europe Day ( eTwinning Day ) together – we created a poster , a common poem and a common quiz and played it .
The main topic of our project was the local heritage of our regions . Pupils took a lot of photos in their neighbourhood and created a memory game , postcards of our villages , towns and cities and an interactive map in Padlet with our cultural and natural sights . We compared our similarities and differences ( traditions , customs , typical meals and more ).
Integral parts of heritage are also local legends . Pupils read the legends , choose one legend of their region , translated it and uploaded it in our common book of legends . Then they read their partners ’ legends and illustrated them . Our common environmental calendar for the next school year is based on nature of our regions .
At the end of the project , pupils evaluated the project via a questionnaire and got certificates as an award of their hard work .
The outputs of our project are : Safety on the Internet – a common wordcloud Memory game Postcards of our cities / towns / villages Map of sights Easter in our countries Quiz - Easter Our countries and traditions – similarities and differences Europe Day – Poem Europe Day Quiz Poster to the eTwinning Day Legends Calendar Nature around us Final video
