Participation in the STEM DISCOVERY campaign promoted by Scientix allowed us to be among the winners due to the richness of the contents and the replicability of the experience by other teachers .
" learning by doing " methodology , the students had the opportunity to understand and explore the complex problems of the topics covered .
The final objective of the project was the creation of a television broadcast , a documentary report with various services in which the students documented the initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life on Earth and stimulating their peers and adults to emulate their behaviour .
Through quizzes , collective discussions and brainstorming actions , we started from their idea of the world of the future to develop actions and activities aimed at acquiring conscious citizenship . Concrete activities such as cleaning common spaces , recycling and reusing objects gave students a new vision of being agents of change . Furthermore , the use of various digital applications for the creation of videos and commercials and tutorials has expanded and consolidated the 21st century digital skills increasingly needed in the modern world .
The project activities were therefore aimed at stimulating students ' awareness of the role that each of them will be able to assume in the future by adopting sustainable behaviours for the protection of the environment .
